People need to realise. If 8 teams wanted a pistol only tournament. I'd make one. If people wanted knives only, i'd make one.

I would basically make ANY tournament requested if a minmum of 8 teams showed interest. 3 round nightly tournaments? I'd make them. People just never seem to PM me about my ideas / or use to post in the CG suggestion thread :S

The only reason why (we) PS3 would like to have a section on here is because CG doesn't allow us to advertise our own P2P Tourneys or LAN events etc.. Whereas on here you allow P2P Tourneys to be advertised here so everyone can sign up which isn't the case on PS3. You make a thread on CG about a P2P Tourney it will get taken down.

The thing is though. CG's ps3 community is quite well set up now and active. Decerto IMO will have alot of trouble kick starting their ps3 section if they do make one just like how CG is struggling to get it's 360 section active. I believe if CG had made an xbox section when it very first started with the same amount of attention the ps3 side recieved there'd be no decerto / halo3forums you see today. Most CG PS3 users are aware of decerto but until a few moved over, none will.

That is obviously my oppinion.

I think it's agreed everyone on CG / CF / Decerto thinks GB is lame :lol:

The 360 section was active once upon a time for GoW and what not but everyone moved on.

I agree with you and Im senior staff. CG need to tone down their banning on advertising other p2ps and that's why I made a community section to be more laxed on this. You have to understand though CG is a business. Just like any, you can't advertise a competitor right on their own doorstep!

No. The CG rules are utter terrishitbad. CG has done a good job for PS3, yea, obviously. I don't think DE even want to start a PS3 section, I dunno. It would probably be a waste of time anyway.

I know which is why i understand it in a way BUT the thing i dont get is they dont organise there own P2P tourneys which leaves us with nothing to compete on. Which is why i could see Decerto benefiting the PS3 community by allowing advertising such as P2P tourneys etc.. IMO.

I've already secured partners, one of which is very big. I also have a game shop who will help us with prizes as well, and all of this done single handedly in less than 2 weeks? So no, I don't feel I'm wasting my time. If DE was the entire worlds population of gamers, then maybe I would be. But there's a big audiences out there, communities I didn't even know existed until I started researching.

CG has adopted decerto rules for 360, and the ps3 rule are basically whatever the community want.

CG rules are decerto rules and was called decerto until I thought, no why should they be called that and called them Consolegaming. The 360 side anyways. So if you're moaning about the rule set up you are moaning about decerto basically?

He's wasting his time if he thinks people will remain active on his forums, when the Decerto forum is well established. The site will be used for tournaments and leagues but the forums will just not be active (unless forced, ie. making someone have a certain amount of posts before entering a tournament).

And the reason why people use CG from the PS3 side is because it's the best website bar GB for ladders and tournaments. The site is really decent and the functionality isn't as great as GB but the community and forums are really good.

the decerto forums are where everything is at will allwasy will be forums wise but people will still play on your site because decerto currentley doesnt offer that option. The site looks horrid unless im missing something whenever i go on its just a plain white screen with blue writing and i cant acces anything. is that just me or any1 else have this problem

Do anyone even play 360 on CG?

All I ever see is PS3 players playing 5v5/6v6 CTFs and SnDs, being played like 12 times and thinking it's competitve.. looks horrible.

This is all good until the money runs out... when the backers see no returns I doubt they'll continue backing it unless they're really rich and its a hobby for them which I doubt. Then ECL will be in the same position as the rest of us. A greedy community wanting weekly prizes which cannot get provided to the :/

also - Don't use Internet explorer. It doesn't like CSS and ****s up styles from IE6 upwards. Use Chrome or Firefox.

Every team on this site has been in 1 of CG's 360 tournaments so yes people do?

People in the ps3 section don;t play it because they think it's competitive they play it because it's fun?

When was the last time you checked the PS3 section on CG? Pretty sure we play 4v4 mate, and near enough same ruleset just without stuns.

You'd get a shit load of interest Emo, PS3 has gone the same way as 360 with the whole "4v4 restricted rules" stuff on MW2 and no other game is ever played on PS3 because everyone loves COD too much. The PS3 is just a smaller version really, there's less teams and everything but you'd get a lot of new members and the section would be active and tournaments would be filled.

If they have someone like the PwR owner backing it, I believe they are a millionaire or something along those lines...

Or maybe he's just like that guy that let's everyone have a CS1.6 LAN in his mansion (was on the old DE) lol.
