Decerto: Hi Kerry, how are you doing? I'm good thanks. Just waiting for our placement games to begin. Decerto: Yesterday you played your first LAN tournament with your new team, how did it go? It went really well, we won our second game 3-0 against Fariko.LetsGo so we did better than I thought we were going to do as we don't practice enough as a full team. The girls posing together Decerto: The win against Fariko.LetsGo was the first time an all girl line up has won a match at a competitive LAN event in Europe, how much influence do you think your inclusion in the line up had on this result? It wasn't down to individual skill, we all played well as a team, to be fair I did choke on SnD and this is something that when we go back, we need to make sure we practice more. Just generally improve our strats on CTF. Decerto: Is this the best all girl team so far? I think so at the moment but of course there's always room for improvement. Fariko.Girls in action Decerto: Obviously the support you receive from Fariko brings about a share of haters, how do you respond to these people? I don't think any of the guys questioning us would refuse the support if they were offered it. We do get more support than male players of our skill, but then again we also have to deal with a lot more discrimination than the average male team. It works both ways. Despite the positives of being a girl in gaming, I actually think the negatives far outweigh the positives in a very sexist environment. A lot of the guys could also learn to market themselves better if they want to receive more support for events. At the end of the day organisations are a business and just winning a few matches will not generate a return, you need to offer more than that and I think we do. Decerto: So today you're in the placement bracket, how do you think you'll fare? We're up against Team Infested next. They've had a hard run in the bracket so they might actually turn out to be a deceptively hard team. They had to play Killer Fish, GIANTS and GnS.Requium before getting to this stage so anything could happen. Of course we'll try our best and try and come out with a result. Decerto: What's the morale like at the moment in the Fariko.Girls camp? Are you all getting on? Yeah we all get along really well. We're all quite chilled. Outside of the game we all get on, so it's cool to find girls to spend time with at the event for a change. Julie attempts a block on Kerry Decerto: Finally, what's the next event we'll see the Fariko.Girls at? More than likely it'll be EGL5 whenever and wherever that is. Decerto: Any shout outs? Shout out to Brainiac as he couldn't come to the event this time around, and I hope he's pleased with our performance. LiNK Gaming, Morgan as she couldn't attend this time and of course all my LAN friends. As always, you can follow and all the teams competing at ReflexGT7 here on Decerto. You can find all our coverage over the weekend on the following link: Decerto ReflexGT7 Coverage Hub
People who correct Grammar are known as Grammar Nazi's seems to be all I see you do on this website, therefore your Hitler.
Stop capitalising grammar. Silly title as the amount of girls teams is dwarfed by the amount of teams from Wales. The brunette looks quite nice though. Hello.
The reason why the girls get the support from fariko is because they are different to any other team as they are the only full girl team on the game (that i know of at least). Like kerry said orgs are basically businesses, and for fariko having a team totally different to any other means that they get much more coverage/publicity than other teams of the same skill level, so it pays off for them in a different way to normal. Fair play to them imo...
As in, they've had a number of line ups and this is their best line up so far. It wasn't a brag about them being the best girl team in Europe. They're the only girl team in Europe.
Do they? Well the only girl team that attend LAN. Still, this current line up is the best version of the line up is the point.
