For you and your team however, no, you could have just applied logic and let them have the map or just allowed them to use the Snipers with Ext Mags. Sportsmanship is often when you allow your opponent to let something in the rules slide because you think it's fair in that situation. It was unnecessary to take that map. You also play with rules in scrims. To give you an example, a football player has had someone close to them die the day before. They're wearing a t-shirt under their shirt that says something dedicated to them. They're already on a yellow card, score and take their top off revealing the t-shirt. The letter of the law says they should be booked and therefore sent off. Does the ref send them off in that situation? Not everything is black and white and in a situation like this I don't agree it was necessary. Of course their use of snipers was disrespectful but if I were you or your team I'd have just played the map out. If I was Xorta then yeah, I'd have made the same decision because he had to.
Xorta makes the rules, referee's need to enforce them when someone brings it to their attention... i don't enforce anything. why would you say that? i am not the organiser or referee... right?

i am sorry for not being clear enough, lets blame cultural and lingual gaps. again, i feel truly sorry for foreign being robbed of their victory on CTF while they were clearly in the lead. I acknowledge that. But people need to understand that I can not standby and see rules being offended. Yes, it is the worst situation to start talking about breaking rules, i know that. Extended mags on snipers while having a 5-0 lead on CTF will not affect the game that much. But again, it is about choices people make and the consequences they should accept. Foreign chose to use extmags while there was no need to use it. It then came to my attention and at that point, it is out of my hand. I cannot standby and watch something happen that is out of order, as big or as small as it seems. I am very predictable in these type of situations and will do what i am allowed to do and should do. Even though I know I do not have to do it. This is principal mannered (correct English?) behaviour. Trying to live by principals can be hard sometimes, i know, been there done that. But I also know that defend-able (/explainable) principles will take you a long way, as long as they are defend-able. This one i can defend. Even though it seems to conflict with the principle of sportsmanship. In my opinion it would have been sportsmanship to not use use extmags snipe. Others would call it sportmanship to not bring the situation to the attention of the refs. For improvement sake; add to the rules a clause/rule like there is in soccer offside. If it is not affecting the game, it could be allowed. But OTH, it will create room for heated debates on LAN in the future ... I dont mind either way what is stated in the rules, as long as they are'clearly stated and applied unbiased.

Does anyone know if the bracket was changed overnight? I definitely worked out we'd play 3DMax in LBR2 but when we turned up at the event the next day we had to play French Frogs and then dzs apeX.Ger ended up playing 3DMax just for T16 lol
in one sense yes it was, but i (not sure about jake) wanted to see how it would run on lan for snd having seen crookz use it online on underground snd and be so effective. This is our "fault", not braniacs, xortas, farikos or even sportsmanship for that matter. But its pretty clear that by 1 forfeit, placements can be messed up that bad and therefore perhaps the tournament system of groups should be reconsidered.
It's sad that the thing I'm most annoyed about from that LAN is not getting to play Underground SnD...
