It feels like just yesterday that we were rounding up Reflex GT6 and yet this weekend the 7th edition of the Dutch LAN series kicks off once again. Taking place at the Kaos Gaming Centre in Weesp, outside of Amsterdam, the stage is set for ReflexGT7 to be the biggest Reflex event to date; with 35-40 teams expected to be competing. Despite the large numbers we'll also be missing a few big names including 3DMAX (formerly XPX), eXtensive and Foreign Pro, with all three teams expected to return to LAN competition two weeks later for the Battle of Amsterdam.

Reflex GT have announced their seeding's for the event which can be found HERE. Make sure you check out the bracket for the entire tournament HERE.

So once again Decerto have put together our predictions for the tournament. With Modern Warfare 3 still very new to the LAN scene, no doubt the event will throw up its fair share of surprises. The following are our predictions for the top 5 at the event, the dark horses (teams that we believe most likely to shock the critics), and our choke team (the team most likely to wish they'd stayed at home). Please join in the debate and share with us your predictions.

The reigning Reflex champions will no doubt return as everyone's 1st place prediction. When you've got the blistering reactions of the Frenchman Gotaga it's actually quite hard to lose. Tommey and Riddlez have been teaming together for what seems like an eternity and despite their small blip at EGL London they have placed well at every other event they've attended together. It'll be the first test of their new player McGee who will be wearing the apeX jersey for the first time. During their last outing the apeX three were accompanied by Gunshi leaving McGee with big boots to fill for his apeX LAN debut and no doubt McGee will be keen to impress his new boss who'll be watching in the crowd. As a team salaried to play Call of Duty, it'll be a bit embarrassing if they don't win.

[IMG] XLNC [IMG] Gunshy [IMG] Swanny [IMG] T1

Our second place prediction is none other than Team Infused and if you don't know the people in this line up, you're probably new to this website. XLNC and Gunshy bring experience that dates back to 2008 and combined they've probably won more money together than the entire attendance at Reflex combined. Alongside the two veterans is none other than Europe's best assault rifle player Swanny and former Fariko Yin player T1. We've predicted this team at second because despite having an absolutely ridiculous line up they've only just picked up T1 for this event, so when it comes down to it apeX will be more organised in our predicted final.

In third place we have the ever improving Dutchmen of Fariko Yin. This team have been responsible for changing people's perceptions of a nation that struggled to get going in tournaments. They shocked everyone by coming second at EGL London and then proved it wasn't a fluke by coming in third at the last Reflex. They've made a team change however as they drop T1 due to his attitude and have brought in Western Wolves player DareDevil to help out. They've yet to win an event and we don't think this event will change that, we predict however they'll do some damage when coming up against the other top teams, it just won't be enough.

Holy shit you say, two Dutch teams predicted in the top 5 of an event?! Our 4th place prediction is the team from one of the world's most respected organisations, LowLandLions. Another Dutch team that has been improving, this team came in 4th at the previous Reflex and have started to live up to the name that supports them. They'll hope the pressure doesn't get to them again this time however against the big name teams it could be a struggle. They'll place highly through dispatching the lesser known teams.

We couldn't do a predictions thread without the French being involved in some way. The nation isn't quite the dominating force that they were on Black Ops and have struggled to get going both online and offline. We're putting in Mythix at 5th due to having two extremely experience players in Karnage and Agonie combined with the new talents of Diablo and Prodigy. I don't think they've got a chance against the top teams but they'll get out a decent enough placement by weeding out the rest.

[IMG] Momo [IMG] Macca [IMG] Rich [IMG] Lowan

I'm not sure we can really class Foreign X as a dark horse because they do have some extremely experienced players but no one is really expecting them to do that well and therefore they are my Dark Horse team number 1. Headed up by vP brother Momo, he's got himself a mad scouser, a former FR member and a Frenchman who was part of one of the most dominating teams in Call of Duty history. Needless to say this team could do some damage if people don't take them seriously, one thing that's a definite though is that we'll find Lowan in the spawn.

Ok we'll be honest, we have no idea if this team is any good or not due to connection issues. That doesn't mean we're not secretly (or openly as it seems) hoping that they produce a performance just like Portuguese team XPX did at Reflex GT6. It'll be the first time we've ever seen a Spanish team at a European event and that it'self is an achievement for the nation. Let's just hope they produce some amazing results so that we can all start hash tagging again and so that this prediction doesn't look too stupid.

[IMG] Tapout [IMG] Raiden [IMG] Milix [IMG] NMSO

We're sorry Germany, we know this is a team that comprises of the best players from your region but we just don't think apeX Germany will make any kind of impact. They've got experienced players like Tapout and Raiden but every time a German team go to an event it's like they have an inability to play. We really hope we're proved wrong and that this team take the event by storm, it's just not very likely and for that reason they're predicted as the choke team for this event.

Best of luck to all teams in attendance, event should be amazing.

There's surprisingly alot of competition and i'd say about 4-5 teams in that mix that on a good day, could win the event.

Don't know why but I'd put Infused down as the choke team for this one. Think apex will win it with ease.

Think ZEN will place T5 for sure this event, be very surprised if they don't.
My money is still on apeX to win though.

@Emotion, two RGT's ago we saw a Spanish team attend. Although with only tree players (think cookie was pickup)
so I'd re-phrase it as the first full Spanish team to attend. Nothing major at all but just thought i'd point it out.
edit: apparently both king & cookie was pickups. so two spanish players.

This is not the first time that a Spanish team attends a European Event, Goobz & Staxx played as vitalGaming.ESP in other RGT event and they finished at 7th position.

Trojor was at EGL4 I believe but on the PS3 event, there were four Spanish teams there. On 360 it is probably the first time though. Edit: Alright see a few mentioned this already, was slow :p

Hope Infused takes this to prove all the haters wrong. Surprised to not see ZEN there as well :O

I was writting when you post it.

They was only 2 spanish in the team. The team would be of 4 spanish players but at the last moment 2 of these couldn't attend it and Goobz & Staxx pick up two, Cookie and K1ng.
