With EGL7 now firmly in the record books, attention switches to the next event as Multiplay hold i46 in Telford in a few weeks time. Since the then apeX NA line up traveled over for EGL5 it seems the gates have opened for more American teams to come and compete in Europe. Following the precedent set by OpTic and FeaR, apeX Collapse have announced that they will be attending iSeries. Following some impressive online performances the team were looking to attend EGL7 at the start of the month however visa issues put a stop to those plans. Both WGL and Multiplay have put in a lot of work to ensure the team can attend and will be loaning apeX both consoles and monitors for the duration of their stay. The team will be looking to replicate their online form, finishing second only to TCM in the WGL Soundblaster ProAm tournament, defeating top teams such as Prophecy on the way. How well can they do? ApeX manager Domenic 'Gon' Häuserer had this to say: “We are very happy to confirm that apeX.Collapse, already apeX´s third team to travel over the pond, will attend i46 in Telford. We´re really looking forward to meeting the guys and seeing how they will perform at a major European event. For us, it´s not only important to have our overseas teams at European events because of their success, but also because that helps both the European and the American communities to get closer together. Hopefully this will encourage an increase in the attendance of MLG Teams at upcoming European Events! I wish everyone best of luck, success and fun at i46!” apeX Collapse i46 Line Up: Christopher 'Parasite' Duarte Kenneth 'Dedo' Dedo Ray 'LyaR' Loftus Anthony 'Nameless' Wheeler Please follow us on Twitter for the latest news, articles and media!
only 40 teams will attend i46, don't see the point in them coming. Will still sweep it without losing a match
EU the new home of Console eSports? iSeries isn't even a major event in the eyes of the community...maybe this will change things. GL apeX.
We already wanted them to attend EGL7, but passports couldn´t be sorted out that quick. Nevertheless we´re going to have them at every major european event. And iSeries is imho definitely a major event.
How is iSeries not a major event? It's the UK's biggest gaming festival and will only continue to grow

In terms of console it's not yet at EGL level in terms of prestige of event, however it clearly has the support and backing to make it that far in the near future.
