Like most people I was a fan of the Black Ops engine. The screen was perfect and most of all I felt 100% comfortable with my sensitivity, then MW3 was released. I find the MW3 sensitivity to be a tad over the top in speed and general sensitivity. I play on 3 sensitivity and the difference between BO and MW3 is huge, which is now becoming a re-occuring problem for me so I had a little look about the settings when i noticed the HUD Horizontal and Vertical margin lines were fitted perfect to my screen. After a few alterations, I found that reducing the HUD causes me to personally find in-game a lot more stiff and controlled. Don't ask me why or how as I don't know the answer, all I do know is that fully reducing the margin lines so the HUD is more centered helps my personal problem of the MW3 sensitivity being too much. Summary: Instead of putting your Horizontal and Vertical margin lines to the edge of your screen, reduce them fully so there is a visable transparent square on your screen, try it in game and enjoy. I hope this works for you as it has really helped me.
I was on blackops the other day and just realized how much better it feels and looks on your screen, everything just seems a bit bigger feels loads better.
Worth giving a go! Has really helped me out from having the worst shot to now almost killing people @MeeMo
i just tried it and for some reason it seemed alot steadier, i dont see how it effects it at all as the hud is just closer :/
tbh i think its all just mental, like when you think a shit gun is good after you do well with it 1 game. I cant see how it could possibly affect it. But i play like this anyway.
i literally thought that by making them really small that it would be like playing on a smaller screen but i did that n went into a game and it was exactly the same, so what does the margins actually do? cus i dont see the difference on my screen, and everything feels exactly the same even tho both horizontal and vertical are on zero.
I already played with that anyway on mw3 and not on black ops and didnt notice a difference so will look next time im on the game.
i noticed this when i first switched to mw3 from black ops but i've got used to it, its different on mw2 aswell
The game engine as in the Quake engine which they have used from COD1 to MW3 its ajusted and improved each year.
