lil idea to reduce the amount of shit threads

as everyone knows decerto is now ridden with threads by various xo DefUzizzLez asking for scrims now or just general shite talk. Clearly the people who make such threads aren't familiar with the way a forum works, therefore the "decerto rules thread" doesn't really help as these new people wont know how to navigate their way to the rules thread in the first place.

Maybe if there was a kind of default message that got sent to all the new people who have signed up saying " Hi (username), Welcome to Decerto. Please take a quick look on how to use our forum and our forum rules here ( insert rules thread and whatnot ). Then all people would need to do is click the big red notification in the corner of their screen. just a thought.

There always will be shit threads unless the thread approval is put back in.

Thread approval is just long and the forum will be much less inactive

"reduce" being the key word here.

I doubt it would even reduce them, I know when I sign up to something I don't read though all the shit and instructions and since the average age on here is probably 15-16 that wont help at all.

well then lets delete the rules thread and stand idly by whilst people fuck up the forums.

Forums were fucked up ages ago, it may reduce a few but pointless tbh.

Sending a PM to the new Decerto members wont work, the majority of them barely understand how to use a PC let alone a forum. Just allow them to keep making poor threads, it's in the MW3 section anyway so who really cares?

My solutions:
1. When you join up you can only post in the Pickup's and Scrim now threads and threads which are open discussions. You cannot post on anyone else's threads.
2. When you sign up it automatically takes you to the Rules of the Forum Thread.
3. Implement a 3 strikes ban policy for people that create shit threads or post general drivel.

Would hardly say the forums are that fucked up I struggle to sleep at night. if I don't want to read a thread I wont click on it, simple. bring back the rep system tho
