GamweLL LAN Story

I Could not sleep on the Friday night as I was like a kid waiting to go to Disney Land, except I was a 20 geek waiting to go to a gaming event.

Anyway my mate Ellwood came and picked me up at 6:00am and we drove 20mins to pick MTeK Godlike up as he needed a lift to the event, we then drove a further 1:30hours to the hotel where ANEXIS were staying, woke them up waited for them to get ready, we had breakfast and then drove to the event.

As soon as we got there we started to mingle, saying hello to gamers I have spoke to at previous events and some new gamers who I have spoke to online but not seen.

I then got called in to the event to update the Xbox and BlackOps software, when I heard that Drama/Wizz had hit Fresh, I'm not trying to advertise the fact that a fight broke out LAN, but it's a warning not to get racist or personally offend people online and expect nothing to happen especially when you're attending events, because not every gamer is little geeky like me, some are big crazy dudes like Drama. Fair play to @Minime also for turning up and just saying sorry to people and admitting he just says stuff when he's mad, was funny as f*** though when @King charged at him.

After a short delay, it was time to game, I knew I had a busy day ahead of me as I was a Referee, Coach and Playing with my pick up team BummingBusiness.ECL

First game was against LionsQPAD.Pickups the team that had a girl playing.

Map 1 - CTF - Firing Range

I know their not a good team, but I went huge for my first game and was loving life, I turned on someone and shouted 'GET F****** R****!' Looked up and relised it was the girl gamer and she looked really upset, my heart sunk into my belly, but then I saw the size of her paps and my willie grew to my belly so that evened things out a little.

Map 2 - Demo - Grid

Held defense, and had the fastest attacking round ever! I played well again, so did the team @Vizze is a tank btw.

Map 3 - SnD - Cracked

@Vizze carried us hard going like 15-4 and clutching 1v3 more than once, SICK PLAYER.

After the game my mate Ellwood who entered the FIFA tournament walks over to me and told me he had won his first game against Dignitas ChrissyB, he had no idea who it was haha, so just goes to show it's turning up and entering FIFA if you're coming as a spectator, it's only an extra £5.

The time came for our 2nd game Vs Imperial.1

They beat us 3-0 but it was a close game on the CTF and SnD, it's true about @Swanny at LAN he does not miss, although I did destroy him on the SnD with a MP5 long range Vs his M16. Sick team and sounds lads. Made my day when they told me I'm an above average player.

I then Refereed more games and tried talking to people but I'm a social reject so I just day dreamed about winning LAN on day.

Game three Vs Ante Gaming.

Map 1 - CTF - Cracked

Not trying to sound big headed her, but I played sick on this map, clutched up at least 5 times and went double + and pulled flags, but my team mates played like cancer, we ended up at a draw that meant we had to play for the golden flag, everyone got dropped in the first 10secs and we lost. After playing so well, and been so sleepy I just wanted to concentrate on ANEXIS.

Map 2 - Demo - ???

Really can't remember the map or what happened but we lost. The other team started to hype and get ****y to Sam6a but it would be a short victory.

Map 3 - SnD - Launch

Every one played well and we won 6-4 I think.

Map 4-5 - CTF Lunch and Demo Summit

Again we ended in a draw for Golen flag, I just Marathon rushed their flag, got a kill pulled and scored and we won. I pulled of some insane gameplay at the end of Summit for us to get B bomb down and hold it down, Cheers to @Aka Josh for coaching me haha.

4th game Vs VYE

Not going to lie I just wanted it to be over, ANEXIS had a hard game and were starting at the same time as us, still played OK, but they beat us 3-0.

So then I had to use my pro coaching skills and lead ANEXIS to victory against ORANGE, It was the 3rd map SnD Radiation and they had no set up what so ever, so I laid down some fast defense strats and told them on attack what to do they won 6-0 haha. FaTaL turned on Macca dirty and went 10-3, Drama/Wizz just destroyed @trainee for the duration.

Next was CTF Firing Range, Mark from ORANGE went massive, and they played a dirty counter style and hammered ANEXIS.

Last map every one seriously picked it up, @FiiRe was untouchable at B on Summit, Sensor played smart, FaTaL and Drama just cleaned up.

Night Out

To me the nights out at LAN are just as good, if not better than the event itself. every one has a drink and gets more talkative. Me, Ellwood, FiiRe, FaTaL, Drama and Liam went to the Link hotel where most of the gamers were chilling, they would accept credit card and I only had cash so I got a crate and hid it under the table LADDDDD! Some funny conversations and some crazy dance moves, good night Ellwood had a poof on a naughty fag and went home, and went home first thing this morning and I no choice but to go with him, missed all the finals, fuming!

Very glad that Vizze played well love him, looked like u had a good event Gam!

Hopefully next time he comes with a full team, sick player and should do well given the chance.

I knew FaTaL would be sick anyway from ECL2 and FiiRe proved he can play LAN just as well as online, he only had one choke moment when I was there.

Fnatic mate, ANEXIS came 6th/5th good performance saying that Drama and FaTaL got messed up on the Saturday night, but then again so did Doped and it was TF that knocked them in to the losers bracket, and FR knocked them out, who came 2nd. So good event for ANEXIS really.

The nights out are the best part man! Can't believe you even questioned it!
