Hello All, I just wanted to give you a status update with regards to the new site and server. Firstly, we have started the initial design process for the new site with an intention to complete the main and final design by the end of February. I have uploaded some early bird screens: Carousel: News post: Navigation: User CP: Platforms: We've been looking into various platforms as our intentions are set to move away from vBulletin, there are currently two strong contenders which are being rigorously tested for the development stage. We are considerably close to deciding and once we have decided we will begin styling. (1.6GB Database ) Launch: We are being careful not to promise a set date for the completion of the project to avoid any disappointment. However, we feel quite comfortable that this will be complete by Autumn/Winter 2011. New Server: As previously mentioned we have looked into purchasing a new server to improve the accessibility of the website. We know that the site is currently as slow as Emo doing a 100m sprint but you will have to bare with it for the next two to three weeks. We have picked out a server and we are going to have it professionally managed. I hope you enjoy the preview . Feel free to ask questions or provide feedback.
The only good thing about this will be the new server and the new User CP. What a horrible looking creation.
Looks brilliant; simple but effective. A far cry from the current eyesore. Can't wait to have a light skin that's easy on the eye.
That's the other thing Joel with all the new servers and what not going up are we going to have to make new accounts....again?
The plan is to migrate all content across to the new server, and any new system we choose. Yea, cause you can comment on design with a sig like that..
