While the idea of collaboration sounds appealling to some, what Emo has said here is quite true about it being the competition that we drive our scene forward. I think that what WGL and DE do now is perfect regarding helping to grow the scene, especially as both communities have a different ethos. The only real common goal is making the scene noted to more than the hard to reach 18-30 year old. This has shown in the volumes of teams now in the 4v4 leagues on the WGL and also the amount of WGL teams now scrimming DE teams. OT: I loved i45 and I will probably enjoy the next one just as much. Myself I got the BYOC ticket and altho I sweated up I did also socialise with other which was fun. I also happen to like the fact that the age limit has been reduced as we should see an increase in the numbers regarding teams attending and also we may see more DE and WGL teams which is only a good thing for the scene.
18+ events would be better, don't have to put up with squeaky kids screaming every time they get a kill. will make a shit ton more dosh doe.
So as soon as you turn 18 you are not squeaky anymore? What a daft statement, pretty sure most people by the age of 15-16 are not squeaky, the bigger the attendance the better the event >
Most 18 year olds are not squeaky, Having an 18+ event stops all the 12-17 year olds turning up, therefore, no high pitched screaming.
