Yesterday we brought you news that the i46 minimum prize pool would be £3,500. Today Multiplay have announced more including both age rating and more prize fund information. Regarding the prize, the website shows the maximum prize fund to be £7680. This figure is based on the current 64 team cap however the organisers have stated that they may increase the cap should the demand for tickets be significant enough. A full breakdown of the prizes can be found here. The view of the i45 grand final In a surprise move the team at iSeries are now allowing under 18's to attend the event with a few provisos. All under 18's must have a signed parental consent form, bring their own copy of the game and must have bought a Bring Your Own Console (BYOC) ticket. Sign ups are now open however be warned the early bird discount runs out soon, so for more information check out the website here. The event will also be on Saturday and Sunday this time round, rather than starting Friday as with the previous event. Will you now be attending thanks to the removal of the age restriction? really good idea lowering the age and shouldnt find it hard to fill that 64 team cap considering many people under 18 will be off for summer.
Will be interesting to see how many teams turn up now. I'm surprised it happened after the fiasco of i45, first announcing 16+ then going back on it 10 minutes later and defending the age rating. It's good though, competition (providing it doesn't split the community) means that event organisers have to raise their game so much. We'll see better events as a result of this.
good thing you get vaule for money being able to play cod anytime from thursday - sunday how can you complain plus your in your private little area.
Just seems a bit harsh enforcing them to pay extra, no idea why they can't purchase the standard when they're already bringing consent forms and their own game
No you pay extra for private booths. It means that, instead of waiting around to play tourney matches, like you would be with TUP ticket, you can now scrim and stay warmed up whilst waiting. Also once the tourney finishes, you have an entire 2 days to stilll use your own xbox to scrim/mess about/private matches with others/any small fun tourneys held like last time. Also get to play all tourney games at your own station, instead of having to constantly move and setup at other stations Ask anyone who went BYOC, it is worth it. (I did and can 100% say it was worth extra £30)
For those of you who didn't attend I45 I would also like to point out that in the BYOC you get food and drink delivered to your desk. Be that a Fry Up in the morning or a case of beer in the afternoon!
Under 18 year-olds just should be happy that they can attend now, an addition of £ 30 isn't that much in the end, stop moaning.
