[EU] Last Minute Changes for Origine-Online

As we draw closer to the next European Gaming League event, another team is making a last minute replacement. French side Origine-Online are making a temporary change to their line up with the well known Jonas 'Slayr1' Ferry to stand in for team captain Rémi 'devicZ' Boiseaubert. This has come about as a result of Rémi being unable to attend EGL7 as he is on holiday during the event.

The original replacement for Remi was notorious French player Jordie 'Karnage' Mercier however he too could not attend due to work commitments. Jonas as a result stepped up despite being relatively inactive within the scene since the split of the Network-eSports squad that finished 9th-12th at EGL5 in Blackpool, he has instead been concentrating on running Decerto France. Returning as a player he will no doubt want to make a greater impact with this line up of fellow countrymen, however with such short notice it makes things difficult for the team to practise to a point where they can be fully confident going into the tournament. We believe the change is only temporary for the event.

Jonas 'Slayr1' Ferry is looking forward to attending the next EGL telling us;
"I am very excited to attend my 6th EGL event with these guys. It's unfortunate that Karnage isn't going but I believe we can make a good result since Dylan and Gregory have proved a lot on the french scene within the last year and I'm looking forward to play with them at their first European event. It will be a very interesting challenge and I want to thank them for the opportunity but also Origine Online and their sponsors for the support."

There are more french lans coming up too and the majority of the scene prefer to spend their money to stay in their country instead of travelling the globe to perform their first lan. The teams that you mean like mythiX & co it's simple they can't attend as their players are on holiday or they quit the scene, however I think Gotaga and LowAn will attend with a pickup team, but I'm not sure. Thanks to picking us up Jonas hope we'll perform as good as we deserve at our first European LAN event.

the french community is growing faster thanks to a great work of decerto france. there are very good teams but only a few are able to get funding to attend such events at the moment. Organisations also need to grow.

Shame, have any of them got plans to attend i46 or EGL8?

Pretty annoying that the French community just keeps itself to itself and just holds LAN events which aren't advertised to UK/European teams whilst their teams aren't generally willing to make the effort to come to UK events.

Prodigy is rather inactive at the moment, I'm not sure what he's doing team wise. Concerning Diablo, he's part of the mythiX squad, but he can't attend due to work commitments if I'm right.
