As we draw closer to the next European Gaming League event, another team is making a last minute replacement. French side Origine-Online are making a temporary change to their line up with the well known Jonas 'Slayr1' Ferry to stand in for team captain Rémi 'devicZ' Boiseaubert. This has come about as a result of Rémi being unable to attend EGL7 as he is on holiday during the event. The original replacement for Remi was notorious French player Jordie 'Karnage' Mercier however he too could not attend due to work commitments. Jonas as a result stepped up despite being relatively inactive within the scene since the split of the Network-eSports squad that finished 9th-12th at EGL5 in Blackpool, he has instead been concentrating on running Decerto France. Returning as a player he will no doubt want to make a greater impact with this line up of fellow countrymen, however with such short notice it makes things difficult for the team to practise to a point where they can be fully confident going into the tournament. We believe the change is only temporary for the event. Jonas 'Slayr1' Ferry is looking forward to attending the next EGL telling us; "I am very excited to attend my 6th EGL event with these guys. It's unfortunate that Karnage isn't going but I believe we can make a good result since Dylan and Gregory have proved a lot on the french scene within the last year and I'm looking forward to play with them at their first European event. It will be a very interesting challenge and I want to thank them for the opportunity but also Origine Online and their sponsors for the support."
