After EGL6 last weekend the attention of the scene once again returns to UK, with the topic of conversation based upon events with August. One that is sure to be on the radar of many is i46 set to take place on the 24th to 27th of August. They'll be aiming to follow a reasonably successful first outing for the WGL crew at their debut iSeries event i45. Attendance is sure to increase from the previous figures, thanks in part to the age restriction being revoked but now also due to a increased prize fund that has been announced. Call of Duty Console on the iSeries Main Stage Having already announced a minimum £3,500 prize pool, the team over at the Warped Gaming League have now stated that should the tournament get 128 teams to attend, the pot increases to a staggering £15,000 ($23,000). This means that the winners of i46 could potentially win double what was offered at EGL5 and will also pay out to the top 8. It is worth noting however that presently the event is capped at 64 teams with a £7680 prize pool and will only reach £15,000 should there be significant interest generated. Tickets are still available for i46 and you can find all the details for the tournament here. Please follow us on Twitter for the latest news, articles and media!
Dates are 24th-27th, although you can pay an extra £15 to turn up on Thursday and setup early if you feel the need too. Can't wait for this, i45 was quality and i46 is meant to biggest LAN of the year. Usually generates more attendees than the other 3 events they hold in the year.
Here is the actual prize breakdown as you can see the if we get 48 teams the top 8 all win cash! In addition their will also be our usual tournaments including FIFA and a range of fighting games. For the first time we will also be doing a BF3 tournament along with a cash prizes which can be seen here If you are interested in coming to I46 but don't have the funds in place yet you can take advantage of our deposit system which can be found here If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and if you already have a BYOC ticket please make sure to book your seats on the seat planner in the "RED" section!
If EGL can get just shy of 128 teams, surely iSeries can now get it with this absolutely incredible prize pot. Fair play to the lads at WGL for taking iSeries to another level for us.
@TStokes It goes up by increments with every single team that signs up so 120 teams would be a bigger prize fund say 116
It's low compared to SC2, LoL, DotA2 etc but sure is a step in the right direction for MW3 360! Hopefully i-Series becomes the number one LAN for MW3 360, would be great for the scene.
You do realise the MW3 console tourney has biggest prize pool out of all tourneys on any platform at the event? Think TF2 is next biggest
