This is a fantastic approach by EGL. We all hoped for EGL6 to be in July, but it's basically June, then we have EGL7 in August were it will return to 'normal' with all the games being hosted. At first I thought it was awful, but think about it, fantastic move.
Cant really see any issues about it being in Sweden, Only downside is that its MW3 only. About the team cap is most likely beacuse they have a limited supply of hardware and it would simply not work with more then 32 teams.
Sweden already has a well-known LAN like EEE, would be more appealing to see France, Germany or even Spain announced to be helding EGL
there is EEE, reflex and BO2 + other not so well known lans , EGL is all UK has and now we dont even have this.
like somebody said above.. them saying 32teams cap is basically them saying they only expect that amount of teams to attend a lan in sweden.. we all know not many amateurs or noobs will attend due to it costing hideous amounts and the pro teams will just raape them.. obviously not only 32 teams can go,, but going on RGT & BOA2/EEE the turn outs not huge.. EEE saw 12 teams attend get over it
If people can't go to EGL Sweden then don't go it's simple. They've obviously done it for a reason and they have partned up with EEE so hence why it's in Sweden. If you're young or can't afford EGL Sweden then just go to EGL 7 on august 4-5th which is going to be in the UK and a bigger team cap. Also EGL can't always do it in the UK. It's only a 1 month wait after EGL 6, chill out!
