I think the above show's clearly why the LAN scene in the EU has taken so long to develop, who would want to go LAN if their placement was just gonna be overshadowed because some Veteran who no longer even plays won't accept that they have obviously put the time in to place high, but because some of the ex pro's no longer play they aren't good. It's bullshit.
haha. Rumsey thats basically what you are suggesting. Players who haven't played in how long are better than new talent simply because they used to be good. You have absolutely no idea about what you are talking about, and have zero involvement in our scene. You are making a proper **** of yourself here. Seriously
looooooooooooooool yeh because when South came back on MW3 and played every day he was really good, so good that he bottled it and quit. You really are delusional.
What? Why would it matter if I played the game competitively? I'm not a pro football player either, but I'm still qualified to make criticisms on that game. Also, that's a terrible comparison. PC players play on a standard mouse and keyboard - the fundamentals are all the same. SCUFs give an advantage to players who splash out on them. 2 players of equal skill could come up against one another, but if player A has an Astro headset and a SCUF controller, then he's going to win. How is that conducive to a good competitive setting? PC gaming is sick because there's no auto-aim.
were so far from where this arguement started, you said mak was shit and that if all the old pros played they would piss it facts state otherwise, were now arguing about when bissel was 15 he had an xbox and played at the end of your playing days, saying that they were shit then because you were all better players is horseshit, me and bissell went to that lan wanting to 3 cap for ten mins we had no strats we just ran round, and we finished 4th, it was easier back then
Play the fucking game to see if it really makes an advantage over two player of the same skill level. So much wrong in that post.
How is that wrong? I've played the game plenty. You said it yourself - it gives more flexibility. That's an advantage. Why are you getting so antsy? Can't people on this forum have a reasoned argument without spitting the dummy?
You're telling me, when two players of equal skill come up against each other, but one has the equipment advantage, he's not going to come out on top more times than the player who's using a standard headset and controller?
Probably not - headset doesn't make a difference really, there's not much sound whoring in MW3. Controller will make a difference maybe 1 in 50 times... a SCUF doesn't make you aim quicker, it doesn't make your shot more accurate and it doesn't automatically mean you can knife faster anyway, it's just who reacts the quickest - some people prefer to knife with the analog stick (normal controller) and some people prefer to knife with a back paddle on a Scuf. It honestly isn't a huge advantage, you're hugely over exaggerating it imo.
The fundamentals of the Xbox controller are altered to give the user an advantage. SCUF is marketed as giving the person that uses it an advantage over someone using a standard controller. We can't prove it either way, so this is a fruitless argument. Let's just agree to disagree.
south came back and played every day? if you mean when he said he was coming back and played about 2 hours a week. you have zero clue what your talking about. making a come back would literally take months of hardcore game time to catch up. not 2 hours every other day for 2 weeks. infact who the fuck are you? you seem to think you know what your talking about yet in reaility you have no clue
I gave up reading a few posts back but from what I've read from @Rumsey most of it's poop. How in anyway has the competition and standard of players gone down hill? Every single game that's come out though, you've always come on at some point and said ''If so and so played they'd be the best'' ''If he came back..'' give it a rest, nobody will ever know what the true outcome would be until it actually happened. No hate though but it's just getting really boring seeing the same argument you had on CoD4 still being brought up now.
If you played the game you'd know that the scuf doesnt work for everyone. Some people can do the same as a scuf by holding controllers differently. It's all down to personal preference. Your argument is stupid which is why you think i may be spitting the dummy.
I'm what you'd describe as a "new generation player" that has come about since the standards dropped dramatically after the retirement or Sir Rumsey. I clearly do know what i'm talking about when i've been here since COD4 and on every title i've seen people come back after quitting and attempt to reach the top only to fail miserably. Your argument is so weak, get a grip... Everyone knows what you achieved when you used to play but that doesn't entitle you to talk down to people about their ability now. Your day was over about 4 years ago, let it go.
