My mate is getting this error when he tries to go on any Decerto url... is he banned or something or what?! Message he gets below: ERROR 403 - Forbidden! The following error occurred: You are not permitted to access the requested URL. Please contact the webmaster with any queries.
It would be helpful if he posted the URL he was trying to access. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem but test different browsers, try clearing cache and if the problem is still not resolved speak with @Sleyhar . Probably something simple to resolve or ofcourse you could have been put on slow mode.. in that case tell your friend to stop being such a penus.
some threads on this website actually come up with Malware and Antivirus information blocking some threads on the website.. this is probably why the website's been down so much over the last week or so. just bare with them.. they're only trying to make the website friendly towards all users
oh ok.. just that i've gone to go on a couple of the threads in the Recruitment section over the last week and received a red screen telling me about Malware and Antivirus and telling me to leave the website.. if this occurs again i'll screen shot it for you
He's spoke to Mellow about it and they're trying to look for a solution, it's happened to random users lately.
Error 403 is unpermitted access, for those saying it's a virus, the virus would be using your computer as another persons means of DDoSing the site (as it requires more than one computer to efficiently do), therefore leading to an automatic ban from the servers in order to prevent it. (http://www.decerto.net/v4/index.php?threads/flame-retardant-return.74129/) Is blocked for me, so it's probably just a site error...
Ohh wow. I see that as well. That.. is.. strange.. I can't SSH to the box just now so I'll flag this thread to Ains. EDIT: What forum is that thread in btw?
That's a different thread ID though. Proper - http://www.decerto.net/v4/index.php?threads/flame-retardant-return.74141/ 403 - http://www.decerto.net/v4/index.php?threads/flame-retardant-return.74129/ I don't think that thread ID exists, so is giving a 403
@Dann thanks for that.. that's exactly what i was talking about with the red error message screen .. i click on numerous threads and it tells me to GTFO the website because of Malware and Antivirus threats.. :/
