You didn't think I was going to travel all the way to Amsterdam without writing you a few lines about my experience did you? I know Switchback will groan at the sight of a blog but sometimes you just gotta write down what is going on.

This first one is going to be kept brief as I've written ones in the past where I talked for way too long. It's currently 5:50am on Saturday morning and I'm sat in the Nero at Edinburgh airport eating massively over priced food and a not bad priced coffee.

I left the flat around 4am this morning to walk to my bus stop, forgetting that I wouldn't be able to do my normal transfer and I would have to walk further than normal. Never the less a deadly quiet capital city is not something many can say they have witnessed when not paralytic. The streets were all quiet except the odd taxi and a random group of French hippies, of course no early morning experience is complete without the drunk lost at a bus stop asking "ya alreet pal". I will be once I get away from you thanks.

An empty Edinburgh

While on the bus I got a text from Chris Marsh, clearly sticking to his nocturnal ways but I appreciated such concern at that time in the morning. After updating my Twitter to say I was on the way to the airport I had the pleasure of a reply from Royalty's Zak 'Riddlez' Tallis, who many will know this is his first time on a commercial aircraft. What other aircraft he's been on I do not know but apparently nothing is as terrifying as sitting in a massive tube surrounded by other people travelling 500mph a fair few thousand feet in the air. Did me telling him that if he did die that it would be quick and painless but quite a buzz help? Probably not. Hopefully he makes it on the plane or otherwise I might be forced to step in and dazzle you all with my low level public skills.

So what is to become of this weekend? I am personally looking forward to getting away from Edinburgh and relaxing in a coffee shop or two with everyone before the event on Sunday. I think we could see a fair few surprises at the event itself because it never goes how people predict. Either Reakless, Royalty or Imperial are going to fall at the first or second hurdle by some unknown team, who will then no doubt brag about it for years to come; *cough* Gamerhut *cough*. I'll enjoy watching the veterans scare the newbies with the **** talk that'll no doubt become repetitive by the Sunday evening and of course there is nothing like watching some intense clutches happen live.

My flight is about to board so I'm going to head off but first I'm call a friend who was 'supposed' to wake me up in case my alarm didn't go off. The bait will be strong with this one.
