[EGL7] TCM vs AF4 WBR2 Match Report

The tournament is getting into full swing now, with Winner Bracket Round 2 matches taking place. This is the first test for TCM as they were placed against the relatively unknown force of AF4, and the first competitive match with their new addition Scott 'Mak' Brass.

Map 1 - Dome CTF

As with most first games on LAN, the initial few minutes were tense. With neither team wanting to over extend and run the possibility of losing an early flag, most play was set upon a defensive style. However, past these first minutes and any doubters of TCM's ability were swept away, with the consistent outslaying of their opposition. Despite this, they were only able to capture one flag, and therefore led into the second half 1-0. After the break, the game was more open and attacking, perfect for the native play style of TCM. Even through small showings of brilliance from some of the AF4 members and an ill-fated flag attempt thwarted by Jake's 4 piece. Another two flags followed for TCM making the final score for the first map 3-0.

Map 2 - Arkaden SND

As with most SND games, unless clutches take place then they're pretty standard. This was no different as TCM swept through comfortably past a struggling AF4 side. TCM were consistently left with 3 or 4 alive to the one player of AF4, making this an easy win for the quartet. The final score for this map was 4-1.

Overall Score : TCM 2 - 0 AF4

From this victory TCM will now face either Diabulus or phantom in the next round, and from this performance they can feel comfortable in themselves. On the other hand, AF4 will now move down to the lower bracket to face Insomnia.
