[EGL7] OpTic Gaming Confirm Attendance

    North America has had a strong vested interest in the European Call of Duty scene for a few months now, ever since former apeX.NA team, now Optic, competed in and won EGL5 LAN in Blackpool last April. Recently it was confirmed that Team FeaR would be attending EGL7 next month and we now have another confirmation to add to the list. Reigning champions Optic Gaming will once again be trekking across the pond to defend their title and partake in an what is expected to be an epic tournament and one of the most competitive to date for MW3.

    After Optic practically whitewashed the competition at EGL5, we have seen a huge progression in team skill & setup in European teams, with some now claiming and showing to be just as good as the NA titan. The team however has remained with the same roster as EGL5 and will be one of the only top teams at EGL7 with the same lineup. A question does surface with two confirmed US teams and at least one more expected to confirm soon, will the final placements of the event be drowned in the red, white & blue stripes?

    Raymond 'Rambo' Lussier had this to say about returning to defend their title;
    "We are very excited to compete in Europe again. We had a lot of fun the last time around with the community based feel of EGL, and hope to be able to show some more awesome games for our fans and community. Good luck to all teams."

    Really glad they can return to defend their title, it would have been a hollow victory for any team to win if they hadn't attended. Hopefully this time they'll be able to get a bit more time to experience Blackpool haha

    its called EGL for a reason if there are american teams playing in the tournament it kind of defines the purpose of the name.
