The tournament is well under way now, running well ahead of schedule. We managed to grab the 4Kings player Alex 'Pascoe' Pascoe. Coming off of a comfortable first win in the tournament, despite internal issues the team looks confident. Decerto : So you're here at EGL7 Blackpool, how was your journey? After the horrific hour standing up on the train from Euston, we were upgraded to first class so that was pretty cool. I went to Euston with Ellis and then met up the rest of the gamers from there. All us 4K guys are staying in the Norbreck, which by the way, have horrific beds. Decerto : How do you think it's going so far? For the first round we had a bye, and then played against a team that I wasn't sure about. They were pretty easy to beat and we now have neutral.MadSquad in the next round. Considering we've not been very prepared for this event, having scrimmed only 4 times in 3 weeks; i'm pretty confident that we can beat our seed and claim a top 6 finish. Decerto : There's been a few hiccups from the top teams early on, do you think this makes the tournament more open to other competition? Yeah, if a team like Nova is able to take maps from OpTic, i'm sure that any of the top 8 teams can beat them. A lot of teams have been losing maps, especially when swanny dropped a 30 bomb and still lost 4-1. Decerto : How are you finding the event as an experience? The visuals at this event are a lot better, the combination of the dark atmosphere with the lights is a huge improvement on last time. The COD featured stage has been similarly improved in comparison with last time where there was a projector in the middle of the audience. Having the Scuf stand at LAN makes it feel more like a gaming event rather than just a social gathering where you occasionally play. Decerto : What are your predictions for the event? Including us, it's pretty hard to call. The top 6 in no order would be ; FeaR, proph, us, SK, OpTic and TCM. Decerto : Who would you say the dark horses were? Are there any teams you think might choke? I would say that Fariko.Yin have the ability to cause some upsets, but the team most likely to choke in my opinion would be apeX.KNOCKOU7.
