[Originally meant to be posted on Saturday night but couldn't due to loss of internet connection] We've just finished day 1 here at EGL6 in Stockholm and in a rather relaxed atmosphere EGL and EEE have managed to finish both the groups and the first round of the double elimination. It should be on schedule considering the turnout however with only 3 stations and only a 4G data signal to keep it a float, anything could've happened. Serious business at EGL6 The day started with the group stages as the 8 teams were split into two with 1st seed Enigma in group A and TEC Sweden in Group B. One of the teams that emerged from the groups on fire however was Skitlite Finland, a first time to an event, they put on an impressive display against all of their opponents and even managed to sweep their fellow organisation team mates Skitlite Sweden into the loser bracket. There was no real big upsets and everyone seems in high spirits, even those now resigned to the loser bracket. Skitlite Finland potential champions? The double elimination bracket will continue tomorrow morning and is expected to finish around 6pm local time, perfect timing for the football European final to be watched! Will we see a Finnish team crowned the champions of a Swedish event or will the Swede's pick up their game and fight back? I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Right now though, it's Stockholm time.
