lol don't no why people are saying we had some really easy run, we played Fubar who beat Enigma (12th seed), pMp (13th seed), Fariko.nightmare (11th seed) and went out to Flame retardent. The only way our bracket was easier than some of the teams that placed t12 was that we played Fariko.Nightmare for t7/8 where as we could have played someone like Apex/Phroph. But then again some teams beat literally know one decent and placed t12/16.. idc anyway, but you saying 'look at the bracket they got' as if you would have placed top8 if you had our bracket is pretty funny. Good read anyway edit: I'm not saying Fariko.nightmare aren't a good team or anything just that we could have had a harder game for t8
no way did you deserve a top 12 seed. Everyone in the top 12 seeds were better then you, and outplaced you (bar TCM, same placement i think). Shit like this pisses me off. You were one of about 50 people that thought there seed should of been higher.

I understand people are annoyed they weren't included but it was such a big thread already, I couldn't put in EVERY team. GL/BL's that just missed out. GL - TEC (For getting Top 8) BL - Rel (Watched more link games than he commentated, left the others to pick up the pieces) GL - Tunny (Worked like a trooper all weekend, improved comms totally) BL - Galv (self proclaimed best player in the world, under performed) GL - Hamilton (For helping setup electricity) BL - EGL Setup delays. (Not being setup in time, bad logistics, lots of waiting around for stuff to be delivered. Rippled into tournament play, games were supposed to start 9am, started early afternoon instead) GL - Unknown teams (for causing upsets) BL - European Playstyle (Proved by the yanks, that there is a better way) GL - Loukas and Rosso for Coverage (We produced alot of content, first time for these guys and they worked tirelessly without complaining)
Why did people blame Decerto for the failure of an internet connection at Norbreck? Why these people exist is probably a better question. @Emotion @Loco Impressed at the turnout, hopefully the community keeps this going as the support will benefit European events and justify the potential financial investment in this niche market. It would be even more impressive if there was a better venue and potentially a charge for HD content for viewers which i'm sure would go towards a better and more reliable stream from an improved venue.
The European Playstyle Bad LAN should definitely have made it. I'm still amazed at how teams scrim so little SND in comparison to CTF as well, it's ridiculous.
We had numerous tweets coming in, complaining that the coverage was shit because the stream wasn't on. Hmmmm

Impressive article. I can't help it to sometimes suspect Decerto from subconsciously being biased in favor of EGL when it comes to criticism, but this article definitely proves otherwise.
I still get the feeling people believe Decerto and EGL are one in the same. I don't think this problem is really uncommon no matter what way you look at it. Either people believe Decerto is biased towards EGL or they believe they're the same entity although neither is true people still continue to view Decerto in that manner. It wouldn't hurt for people to try and understand the details behind the orgs that are making things happen in the scene.
