Tell them to stop wrapping you in cotton wool. It's Blackpool you will spend like 90% traveling there's barely any reason to worry... Can you not be like yeh I'll text you when I'm there or whatever just to update them so they know you're ok?
yeah Im going to show them a document I got yesterday that has all the info so hoping that makes progress, going to throw some BoA tours and EGL set up vids in too I think
show them videos of the event and obviously explain the whole situation of parent consent forms, that should give them atleast some reasurance if not have you not got a relative that would travel/stay with you ?
shown em this massive document saying everything about LAN and E-sports so dont know whats next they haven't said much :L .. but nah not got anyone i could stay with except the team and they dont really know some of em
I'm sure if you e-mail EGL they will get in contact with your parents for you to explain etc. I think @Mellow may have done this before so it might be worth a shot
This will 100% work, i've been in the same situation, not about LAN but other things. Just say you wont go to school then, after about 3 days then you will be at egl7, been there done that
So basically act like the most spoilt brat in the world, throwing your dollies out the pram at the smallest problem? Just show them you're a mature person, try and make a deal with them, eg ; if i put in X hours of school work a week and do Y amount around the house will you let me go? Have them speak to both the owner of a hotel you could stay at and Mellow and then they should be more open to the idea.
might work but chances are it will be ok dont go to school because im in 6th form and dont even need to go until next year coz ive done my exams for this year :/
You're 17. You can make your own decisions now. Stop clinging onto ur parents and tell um wat ur doing, dont ask them
Im not clinging on, ive told them Im going and they're saying no, they just wouldnt let me go on the weekend if they're saying no so i cant :/
(This will be a little bit different due to I didn't stay overnight, only one day spectating at ECL3) Mine were sceptical too (Even just for one day) and of course, this is natural, your parents want to protect you as much as they can. However after reassurance they let me go. Once I had gone, and they saw everything was alright, and nothing bad happened, they were happy for me to go to others if I wanted too. Just talk them into trying it out, if it goes well, then they will let you go in the future.
