DziRe P2P ideas?

DziRe are thinking of running a p2p in the near future. A team ticket would be around £20 and it would be a group stage then a elimination bracket with the top 2 teams from the groups going through. Most likely will be a 16 team or 32 team tournament if there is alot of interest. So if anyone has any ideas on how to improve this tournament e.g. increase team ticket prices. So we were wondering if anyone would be interested?
    Thanks!

dont worry we have already started improving the tournaments, the problem was with disputers and we didnt have a system to deal with it but now everything is looking better! :)

Stop using a .moonfruit website. Once you have an actual website you can move from there.

should that be after the group stages? should the group stages be on a different weekend than the bracket?

Pretty sure my team would be interested. Keep the ticket cost the way it is.

Depends on the amount of teams. If you get a pretty low amount of teams then do Groups - Single Elimination. If you plan on hosting a bigger one then do double eli after groups. Do groups one weekend and elimination the following.

Pretty sure my team would enter one of your P2P's if you keep it at £20.

We plan on having a 32 team bracket! but if there isn't enough interest a 16 team bracket would do but we might raise the team prices to £25 per team for 16 team? 32 team would also mean a top 5 prize pool compared to top 3!

No problem, good luck running the tournament. Pretty sure we would still play if it's at £25, if you wanted to raise it.

Maybe to attract more teams I would lower the price to maybe £10 per team. This will attract lesser teams however it all depends on whether you want a p2p where all the top teams sign up or you want one which has quite a few lower. To sum it up:

£20 = better teams but less overall

£10 = more teams but lower skill pool.

Maybe running two cups at the same time, 1 amateur bracket and 1 pro bracket. @yesGibo

Thanks for the input! But i believe that teams that would pay £10 would pay £20, considering its only £2.50 more per person. Although £10 may bring in more teams our goal is 32 team and £5 per person for a large amount of money is not alot!
    Thanks anyway!

Yeah, but I agree with what you said that teams that would pay £10 can pay £20, so stick with that ;)

I realise that i is hard to trust a new organisation but we have are improving and this will be after many more ODC were e are more experience! Plus it would be paid by paypal, so stealing the money would have legal problems, plus why would we steal the money there would be no reason to steal it? We want to grow our organisation without getting a bad reputation. Your money would be safe! haha

Run it over one weekend? Run it over 2 months or more, not 2 weekends when people are busy

you shouldnt do a team limit, you should just let as many teams as you want enter then sort out something.. like 64+. Im sure alot of decent/top teams would enter to get some easy money..
