    Ok im stuck in choosing between these two companies, both offer unlimited broadband and all the extras i need but not sure on what company is better, atm im with talktalk normal copepr wire speed.

    so should i upgrade to talktalk fiber opic or move to BT infinity, are any of you with these companies or know of any cons of either company with fiber optic?? also both are at same price

    TalkTalk offer 80/20 and my experience with them was alright, didn't have much problems and latency was low. Although TalkTalk is said to have the worst customer service.

    Would go with BT Infinity.

    Been on the phone with talktalk last few days and found them alright tbh, is that the only reason you would say by is better for the customer services? :)

    hopefully getting infinity here at the end of June. changing ISP from AOL to BT next month (standard service). Hoping they'll allow us to transfer from standard to fibre optic as soon as its installed.

    I thought it was just my internet that disconnected around those times, bit shite that it's happening to other people too.

    Glad I changed to BT!

    Yeah, I got a lot of those. When we contacted them, they said they would fix it but they never did. Unfortunately I can't get fibre optic here, but at least I have a better connection with BT now.

    @Favo
    @Paul-
    Yea mine disconnects about 5 times a day so annoying! if i moved to talktalk fiber optic would that stop it though, or do you think it will still disconnect loads?

    @Danosaurs

    Not too sure, mate. I still think that moving to BT or another provider would be a better choice. Infinity is probably much better than Talk Talk's fibre optic.

    You can't get my ISP! Hyperoptic don't resell BT Infinity like TalkTalk, Sky etc...

    Post your line stats, it's most likely that there is probably more noise on your line that is causing you to disconnect. Changing providers won't stop this unless you got fibre optic.

    Also sign up here and tell them about your problem it will get fixed much quicker: http://www.talktalkmembers.com

    It seems to have stopped for me and I'm just on 'normal' BT. :D

    Maybe because BT chaged your signal-to-noise ratio just like TalkTalk could of if you asked them.

    Maybe.

    Didn't really have a clue that it was to do with noise, otherwise I would have asked them. :p
