The biggest surprise of the tournament came from the European quartet of Brutality. Much has been made of forum troll Techman. His brash and slapstick humour have earned him a fair share of both fans and enemies. The same can probably be said about team mate Galvz. Well known for his "bad" attitude, Galvz has been known to end a scrim if he is host and someone gets the first kill on him.Together with Marky and Dutchman DNA they became Brutality. While the team had some potential to do well, I don't think people expected them to do quite so well. Some would argue that they had an easy route to their final placement, and I will confess that I am among these people. That doesn't mean to say that Techman and friends didn't have to beat some serious contenders on their way to their final placement.Even playing against 3DMax for top 4 was not as easy as it sounded. Brutality had confidence in spades however, and in their minds at least, victory against the Portuguese was never in doubt. So much so that Galvz booked a new flight so he could stay and ensure the team got the placement they deserve. Their decision was a correct one and the men from Portugal were yet another team sent packing at the hands of Brutality.Of course for Brutality, all good things have to come to an end. Their next opponents were Epsylon, the event winners. While Brutality put up a commendable fight; there was always going to be a difference in quality. It's sometimes easy to overlook the Frenchmen but the eventual winners did the business and Brutality's BoA run was over. Still, this is the highest placement for Marky and Techman at a European event, and it's worth noting that Techman was the highest placing player hailing from Ireland. You can find all our coverage from Battle of Amsterdam in our BoA Update thread found here: BoA Update Thread
I don't think anyone expected Techman to out place McGee. I'm not a fan of his, but for this, I take my hat off. Well done to @Nixoll and all of Brutality. I guess Techman isn't all talk and can actually bring his game when it matters.
Sig, why the man gets hate is beyond me? What because he is "big"? Don't see other people getting hate because of this and if anyone hates on him for what he posts on the forum jesus he has had field day everything the man posts is bait.. Up da techarooo
It's because he's a bad gamer nothin to do with how he looks he's a sound guy irl, I heard galvs and dennis carried anyway
I have to say well done and eat my own words a bit I wrote this team off in the skype chat before the event and said to Marky that they'd struggle to come T8 of even T12. Credit to him, he just accepted my opinion and told me to wait and see how they get on. The bracket was stupidly favourable towards their team but they got a good win against 3DMax and arguably put in a good performance v Epsylon as well.
The same can probably be said about team mate Galvz. Well known for his "bad" attitude, Galvz has been known to end a scrim if he is host and someone gets the first kill on him. lmao
It was quite clearly a mistake. Especially considering I refer to him as a Dutchman a couple of lines later.
